[October 2026] This offer with the ID number PPO-199 comprises three identical gas turbine generator sets from the former German manufacturer AEG-Kanis (today TGM KANIS Turbines), which are also available for purchase individually. The fuel is extra-light oil respectively industrial gasoil.

The plant is located in Western Europe and has been used only to meet peak demand. Hence, the three AEG Frame-5 units have very low equivalent operating hours – specifically between 7,600 and 7,900 total hours. The monitoring and control system was completely modernised just a few years ago.

Each unit is black-start capable since it includes a GE starting engine. The AEG GT generator sets are of robust single-shaft, heavy-duty design of AEG Frame-5 type and have an efficiency at base load of approx. 26%. Unit 1 was in full operation until December 31, 2022, Unit 2 until 31. March 2026 and Unit 3 has an expected final shut-down in late 2026.

Our troveo team has an exclusive marketing mandate for this 70 MW open-cycle GT plant and the seller’s total asking price is USD 6.25 million (approx. Euro 5.49 million) for all three units, to be sold “as seen” from a site in Western Europe. A single 23 MW can be purchased as well.

As new spare parts are available to a limited extent, it could be a feasible option to run only two of the units, with the third one serving as a source of spare parts.
