[March 2023] This used cogeneration plant is powered by wood biomass (wood chips); it generates electrical energy through a steam turbine and optionally provides hot water in the range from 85 to 105 degree C, for example to a local heating network.
The electrical energy produced can entirely be fed into the grid, net of the plant’s own consumption. This plant is located on the site of a previous plant, which was decommissioned in order to construct the current one, however, keeping peripheral parts of the pre-existing structures such as wood chip storage and loading tank, electrical cabin, ash storage area, weighing platform). The plant did operate from 2013 to 2019 and has been kept mothballed since. Last recorded operating hour was approx. 48,000 EOH.
The asking price for this just 10 years old heat and power generation plant including many unused spare parts is Euro 2.0 million, as it is and where it is. The plan is located in Southern Europe (EC country) and can be inspected any time.
