[March 2024] This robust, German-made stockyard equipment comes from an open-pit mine with partial shutdown. Machines of the same type and age are still in use there.

This time we focus not on used power plant equipment, but on stand-alone stockyard machines and related fuel stock handling equipment! Especially in the case of lignite, quite similar machines are applied for fuel production, i.e. open-pit mining, and for fuel handling and storage.

The main difference is the size: These more compact stockyard machines for bulk goods like stacker conveyors and reclaimers differ mainly in size from larger open-pit spreaders and bucket wheel excavators. Hence, troveo© is now increasingly marketing also the such compact stockyard and disposal machines as individual “equipment” and as part of the overall operations.

The above used stockyard machines currently on offer are of medium-size and therefore easy to relocate. Their robust design enables a wide range of applications at stockyard and disposal facilities for e.g. loose soil or sand to peat or lignite to hard coal. In 2013, they were completely overhauled and fitted with entirely new electrical systems, for many more years to come.

This particular offering includes two 1,550 cbm/h bucket wheel excavators on crawlers (EQO-105) and one 3,600 cbm/h spreader on rails (EQO-104), all constructed by the German manufacturer TAKRAF. These machines for bulk material handling have been decommissioned in 2023, are still powered and can be tested on site in SE-Europe. Technical details as well as the attractive asking prices are provided in our exposés for the stacker and the two reclaimers. As for many other second-hand power plant equipment, these material handling machines are offered from their former operation site, as it is and where it is.

Two further stock yard machines for sale and also made in Germany, one 1,750 cbm/h belt wagon on crawlers (EQO-106) and one 7,000 t/h stacker on rails (EQO-107), are already fully decommissioned and, therefore, have reduced asking prices.
